Last week end!

Alan & Margaret arrived on the Tuesday before and we had planned to go up to the Cameron Highlands for a couple of days before they went off to Penang. So we left Friday afternoon and drove up tp Ipoh and then up into them thar hills. Jan had booked two rooms at Bala's Chalets which used to be an old Tudor style school house. The weather was much cooler in the evenings and very pleasant during the day. We even had a log fire in the chalet dining room at night! We visited some tea plantations, strawberry fields and saw lots of lovely fresh vegetables growing in the cooler climate. We also had some very nice meals together. On Sunday afternoon Alan & Margaret caught a bus to Penang where they were going to spend a few days and Jan & I drove back to KL to get ready for work on the Monday.

We've also caught up with Jan Crook who was on her way back to Adelaide after attending her father's funeral in England, and last night had dinner with our old neighbours from Dungun, Bob & Frances. It's been a busy but enjoyable few weeks!!!!!!! Alan & Margaret will head back to Adelaide on Wednesday and it won't be long before Pam & Phillip arrive. My how the year is whizzing past!

Sorry about the shirts it was unintentional. Just short of clothes !!!

As for the 'self plucking' strawberries we're not sure but thought this was a classic.
