Time is Marching on!

Sorry folks but we've been just a little bit busy lately. No visitors at home but Jan & I have been gallivanting around the north of the country visiting all our PETs & ELCs to make sure all is going well. We did manage to squeeze in a relaxing weekend just for the two of us in Penang before getting everyone together in Langkawi for a Zone Meeting where we spent time sharing ideas with one another. One of the things that came up from all our discussions was the need for more communication between the office and the staff in the field. And so I proposed that we have a CfBT Blog and of course I got to set it up! The link is in the list on the right and you are welcome to browse.

Last week we had an orientation for some new staff and we have also had the Senior Consultant out from the UK again and have spent time with him discussing our project and the way forward to 2008. More people from the UK office will be out over the next two weeks and so we are going to be pretty busy with them. "Meetings, Bloody Meetings", to borrow a title from that famous comedian from the Ministry of Silly Walks, who also does some excellent business training videos.

Then it's off on another round of visits to the central and southern staff and another Zone meeting in Kuantan. Next month we will be over in Sabah & Sarawak to do the same thing. Life is never dull!

Just in case you are wondering, we do get time to ourselves now and again and get out to dinner or the movies. Before we went 'north' we indulged ourselves in a nice Valentine's Day dinner, even if it was the day after, and we went to see 'Dreamgirls', which we loved.

We've followed the 'settling in' and 'acclimatisation' of Darius & Kristi in New York. Winter in Australia was never this cold! Not even in the mountains of Tassie. The on-line/Skype chats with Laura have kept us up-to-date with what's happening in her life. And of course we've kept up with the 'girls' and what they've been doing, through on-line chats, phone calls, e-mails with recent piccies, and we've even seen the building of the new cubby house. Blogs are great but the personal phone calls are not to be missed.

Think that's about it for today. Now that I'm also going to be doing a blog for the office, I might just hopefully be a bit more disciplined and write more often here too. I said 'hopefully'!

I like the format of your 'new blog'! The photo of you both is really good too. Where was that one taken? Matching tops and all ;)
Good to hear your trips went well, and that you still get time to yourselves occasionally.
