First, a big thank you to Randall for helping me sort the clocks out in the new layout.
Second, you'll all be glad to know that Jan is feeling a lot better this week end. We went to another doctor in Dubai earlier in the week and he's put her on some new medication which seems to have had an almost immediate effect. She's sleeping much better and the pain has subsided to a dull ache. She's even gone shopping on her own this morning. So cheers all round.
Work is now slowing down as we head to the end of the semester. Our students have final exams next week and then we have graduation and then it won't be long before it's holiday time!! Can't believe how the time has flown!
If you've been watching the temperature on your visits you will have seen that it has been slowly creeping up (if you click on the icon you'll go to the weather web site and get a more detailed report). It's been reaching 43 C most days for the last couple of weeks and hit 44C one day this week. I'm told it will continue to rise over the next couple of months, so a few weeks in the Aussie winter will be most welcome. Jan's been told that it never goes over 49C (officially) because then people are allowed to stop work. There was a problem with the power at the college last week and the A/C was off for a few hours and it didn't take long to warm up.
I bought a new guitar whilst we were in Dubai during the week and am now trying to remember how to play it! I'm getting together with a couple of guys at the college, one who plays keyboard and another who is pretty musical, to perhaps do a few songs at our informal music nights. Watch this space!!
Lastly, .......... no, I can't think of anything else to say so will leave it for now. Jan will be back soon and I'll have go and open the gates which we have to keep closed to keep the goats out.

Hi Guys, always great to catch up on the news, and hear that mum is feeling better. Can i ask for a request for your blog? Can you please put a new link on the side for whiteman online? I know only family can log into it at this stage, but i know Mum uses it to play Sudoku :) Thanks!
Thanks for adding us on the side of your blog too (except Randall has 2 'l's). The recipe you listed looks good, thanks for posting! Mum did you notice your mince pies were there?
