We've got final exams for our military guys on Sunday and then we have to go to Abu Dhabi for their graduation ceremony the following week. This week we've had speaking tests and grading their Course Work. Jan's class took her and Kevin (the other class teacher) out for lunch last week and from the photos they had a great time. The class even gave them both a nice watch.
The Pajero went in for its first service this week and all is well. While we were waiting for the car (there's not much around so waiting in the a/c office seemed the best thing to do) we noticed that a small flock of sheep was endeavoring to cross the road. Obviously having her camera with her, Jan trotted out to take a couple of pictures. If you're reading this U/Phil, you might be able to tell us what kind of sheep they are.
The guy in the car place said that, on average, two get killed every day! Can't believe we've clocked up just over a 1000 kms since we got the car. Must be all those shopping trips to Dubai! Talking of Dubai, we're heading down again tomorrow with two of the guys from the college to see if we can get tickets for the Australia - Iraq football match. Haven't had any luck in getting them on-line, but the word is that you just have to turn up on the day and you'll be able to get them. Will take the camera and if we manage to get in, I'll have to do a mid-week up-date.
Funny how one thing leads to another, but I was up on the roof the other day checking out why the pressure pump kept running when we weren't using any water in the house, and found a small leak which was easily fixed. While I was up there I thought that the view was pretty good so I got the camera (there's the tie) and took a few piccies of the surroundings. So I've added them to the Rak Villa folder in the Photo Albums. I'll try to take a few photos inside the house for those of you who are interested because we've changed a couple of the rooms around.
Jan had a good chat to her Mum earlier today who seems to be fine. She had a check-up today and the doctor is very happy with her progress. She's really looking forward to seeing us in a few weeks time. We also chatted on-line with Laura & Randall and Sean & Leanne who are also fine. L&R have got the final plans for their new house and are looking forward to hearing when the builders are going to start work. Sean was studying for a workshop at uni on Sunday and Leanne has just about got over the recent flood in the toilet caused by a cistern that suddenly decided to develop a crack. They are still waiting for the new cistern though. Perhaps we could take them one down as we have a huge ceramics factory here in RAK which makes all that kind of stuff.
OK enough rambling for today. If we get to the football tomorrow I'll do a write up as soon as I'm able.

Hi Ya
Good to talk and see you on Skype yesterday.
Is your photo album still accessible through your blog?
I have a white square where your photos usually are so not sure if is the glog site or my end. I went looking for the photos you took from the roof. Be careful Ron, we don't want any more problems before your trip!
The previous comment was from me...I got a phone call in the middle of writng it and it closed off.
Love to you both Heather xxxx
