It was the day after Christmas .....

... and all was quiet. The presents have been opened and the turkey gobbled down. Everybody is well satisfied and both young and old have lots of new 'toys' to play with.

We had some friends round on Christmas Eve for drinks, nibbles and a sing-song. Everybody said 'Now it feels like Christmas'. Unfortunately we had to work yesterday but not too late and Jan & I went to the Hilton Beach Club for dinner last night. As it was Thursday, it was Arabic Night, but they had replaced the lamb with turkey just for the occassion. The meal was very nice but not quite the same without the family around.

Today has been a rest day and tidy up which has been really nice as we haven't had too many such days of late. Tomorrow we are off with a few people from work and their families to Musandam, which is north of RAK and part of Oman. Everybody says it's really pretty and we get to go on a boat trip too. So you can look forward to a few more photos soon.

Here's wishing you all a Happy New Year and hope to catch up with some of you soon.
