The last time I remember it raining like this was when Darius, Kristi and Lucian were visiting us on their way back to Sydney from New York.
It's winter season here but that normally only means a drop in temperatures from the mid 40's down to the mid 20's.
Unfortunately when it does rain we get a lot of flooding as, understandably, there are no storm water drains on the sides of the road and therefore it makes for some interesting driving conditions.
For the locals it's a good reason to get out and about and experience this rare phenomenon of water falling from the sky but for us, we just decided to get out of the house for a while and go for a ride to our local shopping centre!!!
It was a slow ride...............
