Another year has passed and birthdays come and go. It was Ron's turn yesterday..........Here are some pictures and a short movie I made of what we got up to during the day. Check out the video.
It started by driving off to Dubai for breakfast and to see the Annual Dragon boat race held near the marina at Festival City. We watched a few heats and finding out that the finals weren't until the next day we then headed to a great Dutch restaurant that overlooks the marina where we ended up having brunch and watching the comings and goings of the boat race and it's participants. Another attraction was a helipad on the wharf so we watched helicopters come and go taking sightseers for 15 min joy rides over Dubai and up and down the coastline. Something we must do one day but you need to book in advance ........ A model helicopter just happened to be a present for his birthday. (Sorry about the quality of the video and the lack of zooming as it was taken with my phone )
