Aladdin

Pantomime time has come and past and after 3 months of rehearsals the Ras Al Khaimah Amateur Dramatic Society(RAKADS) put on their yearly Christmas performance and this year it was Aladdin. It was written, produced and directed by some of the local teachers with gags to amuse the local expats and their families.
Ron had a smaller role this year but nevertheless he still had a lot of lines to learn and he spent many an hour sweating over getting them just right. The pantomime was put on over 2 nights and attracted about 200 -250 adults and children. Jan was the designated official photographer so she spent about 4 nights taking about 1000 photographs.
The audience went away after a good night of entertainment saying they thought it was the best they'd seen in the last few years, the Director and Producer said there was so much work involved they wouldn't do it again and the cast was happy to get back to having evenings at home until later next year when, who knows what change of mind people will have and what new talent will hit this town because, the show must go on.....
