Mery Christmas to all our readers

Mum blowing out the candles on her birthday cake. Jan & Mum playing ladies!

Breakfast in Dungun. Mum in amongst the Xmas trees.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

I know we haven't been as dutiful as we could have been in keeping up the Blog but there's always next year. I won't promise but I'll try!! Really I will.

As most of you know, Nanny has spent the last couple of weeks with us here in KL and will be here for Chrstmas too. She has had a pretty full-on time since arriving, including a trip to the east coast where she had wildboar for dinner one night at a little Chinese village. She has tried out the local manicurist, hairdresser, clinic, hospital and many different kinds of food. Did I say 'clinic & hospital'? Well, yes as I've no doubt many have already heard, Nanny had a little accident last Saturday when she tripped up a step on the way back from breakfast and ended up with 12 stitches in her forehead, a broken finger, a real beauty of a black eye and bruises in places that I'm not allowed to see!!! Jan had dropped us off and was on her way shopping when I had to call her and tell her to come home quick! Unfortunately she had just got onto the highway and had to go several kms before she could turn around and come back. Happy to report that the stitches are now out but the splint on the finger will have to stay on for a few weeks yet.

We are all amazed at the Christmas decorations that have sprung up in all the shopping centres over the past weeks and the playing of real Christmas carols. I wonder if they really listen to the words? Anyway, I'm going to a put in a few pictures of Mum, including one with the decorations taken only a few days ago. Needless to say we have taken her 'best' side in that photo!
