It's Saturday once again and there's not a lot to report this week. Jan is still not well and has not returned to work yet. Yesterday I took her to the RAK Hospital as she had been in a lot of pain for a few days and the medication she has been on just didn't seem to be helping. The doctors there gave her a jab for the pain and made an appointment for her to see the specialist this morning. He has prescribed some strong pain killers, vitamin B12 tablets for nerve repair, and has given her another course of anti-viral tablets in case there is some of the virus still lurking in her system. He also ordered a blood test to see if there's anything that can tell them. The last few weeks have not been much fun I can tell you.
On a lighter note, it was great to chat with Sean and the girls this morning, especially as we now have a web cam and we could see them running around the garden and they were able to see us. Also chatted to Laura and Randall and saw that Laura's 'bump' is getting quite large now!
I've added a Link on the right to one of our real estate agents who has an information page about RAK and a nice little video, if you have Flash Player on your PC.
The car is still sittting in the drive way! Although I now have the export papers from Oman, a hic-cup in my loan application has caused a slight delay in getting the UAE registration plates. Hopefully it will be this week sometime.
The weather is definitely getting warmer as you will see from the little do-dad I added this week. If you click on the icon it will take you to the web site and give you a full forecast (if anybody saw the one I added last week, I thought this one was better).
I think that's all for now. Oh, Nan, if you get to see this, I hear your new place is working out just fine. Looking forward to seeing it in a couple of months.
