The trip down from KL was uneventful but a little late arriving and as per usual, I didn't get much sleep. I have, however caught up on most of it now though. It was nice to see Laura, Sean, Leanne, Jasmine and Tamika at the airport to meet us. This time we're staying at The Glasshouse Apartments in North Adelaide, as it makes it a little easier to catch up with people that way.
Tuesday evening we had dinner at Kwik Stix with S, L, J & T which was really nice. We've caught up with a few people already and had lots of meals out.
Thursday morning we went out to Elizabeth to see Jan's Mum in her nice little retirement home which seems to suit her really well. She seems to be really happy there and has made several friends already. Jan has been to the hospital with Laura for her 32 week ultra-sound scan and all is going well. We have plans to catch up with many more friends and relatives in the next few weeks, including a weekend at Goolwa with Sean, Leanne and the twins and a few days in Tassie to see my Mum & Dad and my little brother & his family.
Tonight we're having dinner with Alan, Margaret, Jan & Brian, who've been to see us several times in Malaysia, and I'm sure there will be lots to talk about with them. Alan & Margaret are off on a big European holiday next week and we'll be meeting up with them in Moscow at the end of August for a cruise to St Petersburg. Tomorrow we're having lunch with Peter & Marilyn Hughes who have recently moved into a 'Lifestyle' Village on the site of the old Telecom Training Centre where Peter & I used to work. Perhaps I'll find my old office!??
Jan's out with Laura this afternoon buying bits and pieces for her baby shower next Sunday. I therefore have some time on my own to update the blog and maybe catch up on some reading.
So I'll leave it there and write again soon.
