Hooray it's holiday time!!

Another semester is over and it's time to take a well earned break. Jan & I will be heading off to Malaysia later today to check out the condo and soak up a bit of sun. The weather here has been a little cool of late, which kinda makes a change, but I think I need to warm up a bit.

Last weekend we ventured to Sharjah in search of some of the famous souks (markets) and spent an interesting few hours wandering around the Heritage area near the Corniche. Jan bought a silk scarf and some beads and we had a meal in an old coffee shop. It was a very pleasant late afternoon- early evening jaunt.

I'm sure the cats know we are going away as they aren't very happy with us today. Pushkin, our only kitten left, is getting bigger and he loves giving 'mum' a hard time.

Nearly forgot. Jan & I went 'hashing' last Sunday after work and spent a very pleasant couple of hours "running" all around a local disused quarry. Made it back to base just before dark where we built a bonfire and then barbecued some sausages and hamburgers which were washed down with the obligatory amber fluid. Not sure that it's something we'll do in the summer time though!

Time to go and finish packing. Will try and write from KL next week.
