An 'addition' to our family

Most of you have heard by now that we have acquired a cat here in the UAE. Her name is Sheba and I've posted some pictures of her so you can see just what kind of a cat she is.

In other Wanderer news: Jan is recovering from her bout of shingles, albeit slowly, and has another week off work. Luckily we now have the Internet on at home which is helping to alleviate her boredom. This week end we went to Dubai to give her a change of scenery but our planned dhow trip this morning was postponed due to a rather bad sandstorm which limited visibility somewhat.

As I now have my Emirates driving licence we can now buy a car and so deciding what to buy has taken up quite a bit of our time lately. We are currently tossing up whether to buy a Pajero (which I thought we had decided on) or the latest Mazda CX9 which has just arrived in the UAE and we looked at this afternoon. Decisions, decisions!! I'll keep you all posted.

Work has been a little quiet this week as it has been mid-semester and we got the exams over in the first couple of days. We had a very interesting e-learning conference on Thursday (which Jan unfortunately couldn't attend) where I met lots of people from some of the other HCT colleges and picked up some great ideas.

I think that's enough for now so I'm off to bed. Night, night.

Sheeba looks gorgeous! Congrats on your new addition. Also, i think you should get a CX9, they look like fantastic cars! Glad Mum is getting better, didn't sound like much fun at all!

Love Laura
